Box Styles
Regular Slotted Carton (RSC)
All flaps are the same length and the outer flaps meet in the center when folded. RSCs are the most common style of box due to their ease of manufacture and low cost.
Full Overlap Slotted Container (FOL)
Perfect for boxes that need to be narrow. Outer flaps fully overlap one another. This makes it easier to seal the box and also provides double cushioning.
Design Style Tray (DST)
Also called Side Slotted Tray (SST)
Typically used as a lid or in pallet packs. Formed by folding up the sides and gluing, stapling or taping the corners to form a shallow tray.
One Piece Folder (1PF)
Ideal for shipping and mailing books, binders, etc. The board is scored to form the sides and top flaps of the box.
Five Panel Folder (5PF)
Perfect for narrow, hard to pack items. The box must be sealed along the length as well as the ends. End flaps can be designed to either meet in the middle or overlap.
Die-Cut Tray or Roll End Tray (RE Tray)
This tray locks into place when the sides are rolled over. The style provides a solid, flat bottom and serves as a lid or tray.
1 Piece Mailer or Roll End, Tuck Top (RETT)
This very sturdy box sets up easily without needing to be glued. When the sides are rolled over, the box locks into place. It's closed simply by tucking the lid into the top.
